I
applied 6oz fiber glass "cloth" to this
section of one of the body tubes. Notice the wax
paper on the work table so the fiberglass doesn't
stick:

It is kind
of difficult to see in this picture, however, I used
excessive epoxy left over from other applications
and applied it to the leading and trailing edges of
the "Quik Tubes" while I prepared the
tubes for construction. This maintains a true edge
on the body tube while moving them around the work
shop for constant fittings and preparation.

| I
spent alot of time trying to align the large fins on
this rocket. Notice the level that I've connected to
the fin. Additionally, I measured from the fin to
the motor tube on each side to make sure the fin was
centered. It sure would of been nice to have a jig
at 120 degrees to properly mount these fins! |

Pictured
here is the first layer of fiberglass over the
"Quik Tubes." This tube is the bottom tube
and has a 6oz layer of fiberglass. I wil apply
another 6oz layer for further strength. |
